Thomas married Mary Redman on Aug 15, 1744.

15. Abigail Spurr (Thomas⁹, Robert II⁷, Robert I¹) was born on Jul 16, 1716.

16. Michael Spurr (Thomas⁹, Robert II⁷, Robert I¹) was born on Apr 1, 1723 in Stoughton, MA and died between Apr 0018 and Jun 7, 1774 in Round Hill, Annapolis Co., NS.

General Notes: This is the beginning of the Spurr line in Nova Scotia and Canada. "In 1747 Michael served a routine tour of duty as a private in Major Stephen Miller's Company of Stoughton's Militia and Alarm Men, and on 16 Feb. 1748 received lands deeded by his parents for his settlement in life. In 1759 at age 36 he applied for a free grant of 500 acres plus marsh lots near Annapolis Royal in one of the several areas forcibly vacated by the Acadians in 1755, and subsequently advertised by Charles Lawrence, Governor of Nova Scotia, for settlement by emigrants from New England. His application approved, Michael and Jane, their 3 sons and 3 daughters sailed for Annapolis from Boston on the transport Charming Molly on 19 June 1760, and reached their destination on the 25th of June. Records show Michael brought with him one horse and two cows" (Vernon Spurr, 1989).

Michael married Jane Shippee, daughter of Abraham Shippee and Eleanor Brooker, on Nov 24, 1746 in Stoughton, MA, by Rev. Samuel Dunbar. Jane was born in 1727 in Stoughton, MA and died in 1790 in Round Hill, Annapolis Co., NS at age 63.
