Rebecca Skinner

  General Notes:

"Rebecca was a woman of high christian ideals and was always happy when doing something for others. She loved poetry and her scrapbook contains many of her favorites. Rebecca regularly visited her relatives throughout the Valley and kept close contact with both the Spurr and Skinner family members" (Vernon Spurr, 1989).

Rebecca married Nathaniel Parker Spurr, son of John Cooper Spurr and Harriet Parker, on Aug 26, 1869 in Weston, Cornwallis, NS, Canada by Rev. J. L. Reed. (Nathaniel Parker Spurr was born on Dec 16, 1833 in Nictaux, NS, died on Mar 5, 1907 in Aylesford, NS and was buried in Aylesford Cemetery.)
