bullet  General Notes:

Nathaniel "appears to have lived at Nictaux (Clevelands) and Melvern Square and later at Aylesford, probably moving to Aylesford at the time of his third marriage. In the census records he is listed as a farmer and a merchant, and both he and Rebecca were closely associated with the Aylesford Baptist Church. The Nictaux Church records show he was baptized in 1854 by the Reverend Willard Parker and was dismissed to join the Upper Aylesford Baptist Church on 20 Feb. 1874. At the time of his death he was the senior deacon of the Aylesford Baptist Church, and had long occupied a prominent place in the history and progress of that church, having taught a bible class for over forty years. His last public work was to conduct a meeting in the church" (Vernon Spurr, 1989).
