Elva had 2 sisters and 1 brother. Her father was greenskeeper at Rehoboth Country Club. Harry Lank checked out Elva for best friend Hayman while she worked at Dolly's Taffy Store in Rehoboth. He gave his approval! Unable to locate Elva in 1920 or 1930 Census.

Elva married Robert Hayman Lank, son of Robert Elwood Lank and "Mollie" Mary Catherine Hayman, in May 1937. (Robert Hayman Lank was born on Aug 13, 1912, died on May 18, 1989 and was buried in Seaford Odd Fellows Cmtry.)
