General Notes: Listed as a house painter in 1900 and 1910 Censuses and in 1920 as a merchant in the paint industry, taking over his dad's store after he died in 1929. No appearance in subsequent censuses. Howard was married, but not for very long. Per John, "Howard spent every weekend in Lavalette, NJ, with a group of buddies who owned a house there. In the summer he would go by train to Toms River where he had his 1929 Chevrolet stored in a public garage during the week and then drive to Lavalette. After his dad died Howard ran the store and closed the painting business. Mother told me that he had attended Central Manual Training School and worked for S. S. White Co. in Phila. He was offered a position wth them out in the mid-west, but at that time his mother, Emily, was ill and did not want him to go. Howard, Mother and a long time employee ran the store until the mid-40s when it was sold....Howard H. Price was incised on the base of the Family Stone. At the time of Howard's death the cost for a stone like those for Oliver and Emily was approximately $1700. His grave was unmarked for some years. In the early 1990s I had the inscription placed on the stone."

General Notes: "I worked for Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania. Over 50 years ago [fall of 1955] I was in a radio class for Bell with a Joseph Price from Seaford DE to prepare for an FCC test to get a second class Radio license. We determined that we were related and promised to get together. Unfortunately that never happened...It is a shame that Joe and I never got together. At that time I was recently out of the Army after a three year stint. I started at Bell as a switchman in Phila in May of 1947, was drafted in Jan 1951, went to OCS and served in the Signal Corps in Calif. and Korea. In 1956 I was promoted to Chief Switchman and in 1965 I transferred to Marketing and went to Data Training at Cooperstown, NY. When I retired from AT&T on Dec. 31, 1983, I was Data Manager in Phila."...Dad "was a member of Lulu Shrine, and a Mason, member of St. John's Lodge here in Phila. My Step brother, Howard, was also a member of St. John's Lodge. I joined Lodge #3 here in Phila in 1955. I was Master of my Lodge in 1979."

John married Florence Elizabeth (Betty) New on May 24, 1952. Florence was born on Oct 4, 1930 in Philadelphia, Delaware, PA and died on Jan 11, 2012 in Ridley Park, PA at age 81.
