John Frederick Bobenmoyer
General Notes: Of Holland Dutch ancestry he was but six months old when an Indian uprising in Berks county, Pa., resulted in the massacre of all members of his family except himself and his devoted mother, who escaped with him into the forest, where she remained until the following morning and thus saved their lives. John F. Bobenmeyer was reared to manhood in Pennsylvania, whence he came to Ohio and numbered himself among the pioneer settlers of Butler county. Eventually he removed to Darke County, and there he and his wife passed the remainder of their lives. John married. |
