April 4, 1930 Census for Ward 4, Philadelphia City, PA: Virginia Price, 44, widow, born PA as were parents, unemployed; John C. Price, 1 10/12, son, born PA, father born MD and mother born MD (sic). Also in household are Fannie Blacker, 54, single, lodger, practical nurse; and Ella V. Coffan, 59, niece, widow, unemployed.
Per son, John, she was a member of DAR and attended its local meetings - Lt James Hamilton was her relative during the Revolution. That lineage began with James Hamilton, bn 1743, to dtr Mary Jane Hamilton Tate, to g-dtr Eliza Tate Cowan, to g-g-dtr Virginia Tate Cowan Price.
Home in 1913 was 4021 Spring St. in Phila. Virginia, Howard and John lived there until 1938, at which time they moved to 508 N. 39th St., where Howard died in 1940.

Virginia married Oliver Chapman "Chap" Price, son of John Thomas Price and Sarah Rigdon, in 1924 in Ward 24, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Oliver Chapman "Chap" Price was born on Oct 6, 1850 in Harford County, Maryland, died on Apr 13, 1929 in Burlington, NJ and was buried on Apr 16, 1929 in Westminster Cmtry, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery, PA.). The cause of his death was sclerosis of spinal cord.
