Howard D. "Buzz" Smith

  General Notes:

July 22, 2011. He faithfully served his country serving in the Delaware National Guard. Buzz retired from Delmarva Power in the plant accounting department in 1994 after 34 years of service. Buzz volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was Past President of the Plantation Park Association. He was also a member of Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church in Ocean View, DE. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors especially fishing and crabbing on the Assawoman Bay. Buzz will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Margaret Sue Smith; 2 sons, Harry L. Smith and his life companion Joann Young of Wilmington and Bart F. Smith and his wife MaryAnn of Wilmington; 2 sisters, Patricia Hudson of Lewes and Virginia Morris of Wilmington; a brother, Frederick Smith of Wilmington; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Kelly and her husband Fran, Michele Young and her fianc? Kevin Summerfield and Joshua Smith; 3 great-grandchildren, Ally Young, Jacob Kelly and Mia Kelly and Buzz's faithful dog, Scooter.
